Understanding Nivalis Equipment:
- Refrigeration systems
- Shear mixers
- HMI navigation
Practical understanding of Ice Pigging:
- What Ice Pigging is and how it works
- Calculating pipe volumes
- Understanding pressure limitations
Nivalis Maintenance Service Support:
- Inspecting customer machines both in-house and on-site
- Communicating with customers (verbally and via email)
to summarise visits and findings
Ice Pigging Service Support:
- Carrying out preparatory work, such as
machine CIP - Understanding the importance of RAMS and adhering
to customer site requirements - Performing Ice Pigging operations
- Safely packing down and returning equipment
General Housekeeping and Unit Support
- Maintaining a clean and organised workspace
- Carrying out compliance and safety checks
Quality Management Involvement:
- Understanding quality requirements for incoming
equipment - Reviewing certification for compliance with order
specifications

Nivalis are an innovative small enterprise. We are passionate about what we do and the equipment and support we provide to our customers. We have developed a technology called Ice Pigging from its invention at Bristol University to the commercial entity it is today. We are looking at continued growth and expansion. Our equipment is used in the USA, Canada, Japan, Australia, Germany, Netherlands, Estonia etc. Our team have been together for over 15 years although we only founded “Nivalis” in 2021. We support interesting applications in a wide area of industries, from defence to food, cosmetics etc. This is because our technology is transferrable across most industrial sectors.
- You will be pursuing a Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard in Mechatronics Maintenance, through Weston College
- As part of this program, you will attend Weston College as instructed, for workshops
- An assessor will conduct on-site observations to evaluate your progress, as well as supporting you in college throughout your apprenticeship
- At the conclusion of your program, your qualification will be assessed through an End Point Assessment
